Overview

The Ambassador Internship Program is a program sponsored by the City of San Antonio for currently enrolled college students. The program exposes students to professional opportunities and innovative career paths through paid internships, peer-to-peer networking sessions and community service projects. Program participants are placed with government entities, non-profit agencies and private organizations to gain experience in high-demand occupations in an effort to attract San Antonio’s graduating professionals to career opportunities within the local community.
Bati spearheaded the efforts of identifying candidates that had the credentials to meet the program guidelines and would benefit from the professional development opportunity. As an undergraduate student at the time, Jayanta was one of those individuals chosen and Bati provided him the opportunity to explore the world of Data Analytics since he has a very firm mathematical background. In the process, Jayanta was able to gain technical and professional experience and he built social & professional networks which led to him pursing a career in the industry.
